The Kids’ Race has become a highly recognized and anticipated element of BC Superweek, Canada’s largest professional road cycling series. On July 15th the PoCo Grand Prix featured a Kids’ Race, sponsored by Norco Bicycles, for young riders between the ages of 5 and 12 years. The Kids’ Race was divided into two heats, with the 5 to 9 year olds racing one lap, and the 10 to 12 year olds racing two laps on the same 1.3 kilometre downtown track as the pros! Our 2016 event saw close to 200 participants, so check back often for updates on our 2017 Kids Race!

In addition to the Kids’ race, we had the Norco Bicycles Kids’ Zone on-site featuring fun activities for the whole family. The City of Port Coquitlam showcased their spirit of celebration, small town charm, and competitiveness to be the best Kids’ Race and Kids’ Zone ever. From bike decorating stations, to the PoCo Grand Prix photo booth, and much much more – we hope that you enjoyed all that our Kids Zone & Kids Race had to offer!
